More weird cars

Let me tell you about this website that I once visited. The index page has the line: “Welcome to Carl’s Weird Cars Photo Gallery”. I bet the car collector’s name is Carl.

According to him, he has been obsessed with junked cars, strange custom jobs, and other peculiar stuffs of the automotive world for many years now. From time to time, he managed to get pictures. He said in his writings one of his favorite things to do, is when he see a car abandoned by the side of the road, to drive by it at least once a week and take a picture. He does that and a lot of other interesting automotive stuffs.

The car in the website’s index page is a Hyster – kinda old. It has chain drive to the rear wheels. According to him, the original Hysters were built to drape a stack of lumber and pick it up to be moved around the yard.

Some of the weird cars on his website are as follows (with his thoughts about the car too):

1. The Short Chev – It’s a really short short var.  But once you look closely at this Chevy, you’ll say it’s actually pretty well executed custom. This car was seen in Springfield, Oregon.

2. The Sail bus – Spotted in a quiet residential neighborhood near the county fairgrounds in Eugene, this Sail bus is claimed to be a-first-of-its-kind.

3. The Nevada Truck - Seen at the Bolinas 4th of July parade, this International pickup truck was seen at many of the "art car" festivals around the country. The truck is an ongoing work of art that consists mostly of collectables and novelties from Nevada casinos, with many slot machines.

4. The Vanvan - This thing appears to be based on a lengthening of the chassis of the front van. You wouldn’t even see how they handled the driveline.

Oh well, those cars are really weird. This car picture collector is also kinda weird I must say.

Should you want to make weird stuffs, why not mix different brands of car parts and make your personally customized car? Whew! I wonder how it would look like.

Putting a GMC tonneau cover in a Chevy? I don’t think you car will look weird. Better check out the other options first.
