Unfolding the Future’s Super Cop Car

Filed under: Uncategorized - BigPimple @ 4:52 am

The threat is coming to get rid of those hotted-up cars with quality Honda performance parts of yours.  So… hoons… street racers… beware and get ready to be caught by a super cop car – the super quick Caparo Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV).

RRV, a British-built sports car concept, looks similar with a Formula One car. The only difference is that the RR was made to be driven both in the road and in the track.

Powered with a 428 kW, 3.5 L, V8 engine, the RRV has the capability to accelerate from zero to 100 km per hour in 2.5 seconds and zero to 160 km per hour in five seconds only.

Caparo claims that the future cop car has a top speed of 320 km/h, considering that it has a magnificent aerodynamic down-force that could even allow the vehicle to travel through a tunnel upside down. Wouldn’t that be amazing? That could be a great future for high-speed chases, right?

What is behind that excellent aerodynamics? Well, the creators of the RRV have sustained the vehicle with similar technology as the old-fashioned adjustable front and rear wings to aid in that aerodynamics.

At present, the RRV is just a concept model developed by Mclaren F1 engineers in collaboration with the British supercar manufacturer Caparo.

So for now, I suppose speed hogs are not yet threatened. But for sure, if the RRV hits the streets, they will be busy trying to figure out how to make a clean getaway as it approaches.
